United we conquer!
Dear Power Indaba Delegates
We are excited to announce that Africa’s premier power investment event, Power Indaba, will be joining forces with Africa’s largest power, water and waste management utility conference and exhibition, African Utility Week 2012, expecting 5000 attendees and boasting a technology exhibition of over 300 stands.
For many years Power Indaba has been co-located with African Utility Week, taking place at the same time and in the same venue. This year the organisers decided to fully integrate Power Indaba into African Utility Week, allowing delegates full access to all seven African Utility Week conference tracks as well as an all-access pass to the exhibition in May 2012.
Because the content of Power Indaba is exceptionally valuable and relevant to utilities in Africa, a plethora of opportunities in networking and knowledge-transfer between utilities and large industry have been identified by incorporating Power Indaba into African Utility Week as the Infrastructure Investment breakout session.

About African Utility Week
Over the last 12 years AUW has attracted thousands of industry professionals from over 60 countries to the event. In 2011 there were over 2500 visitors and more than 200 exhibitors in attendance.
As the industry has changed and evolved, AUW has responded to market forces and customer demands. It has provided manufacturers and service providers with the finest marketplace for their products and services. It has also provided industry professionals with direct access to everything that will enhance and grow their business by bringing together governments, industry regulators, solution providers, utilities and large industrial end users to discuss the future of the industry.
For the 2012 African Utility Week, we have decided to introduce and Infrastructure Investment breakout session (previously Power Indaba), an executive meeting forum for ministerial delegations, high level power executives,
policymakers and international financiers. Discussions focus on encouraging
investment into Africa’s power sector by enhancing understanding of investment
challenges, requirements and the importance of bringing feasible power projects to
financial close.
